Day 19 - Hod Sh’b Tiferet: Being within Beauty

Today is the nineteenth day of the Omer.

Hod Sh’b Tiferet: Being within Beauty

The light, the wisdom, the glory

that rises from the unfolding of creation

The heavens declare the glory of God.

The firmament tells of God’s works.

Day after day utters speech,

Night after night declares knowledge.

There is no speech.

There are no words.

Not a sound is heard. (Psalm 19:2-4)

Practice for today:

Take notice of the sky and the glorious luminance of the day.

Listen to the silence.

Forgive yourself, forgive others.

Remember that everything changes and unfolds in its own time.

May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart

be aligned with the Highest Will.

(Psalm 19:15)

Rabbi Yael Levy

The Omer teachings you see here and can receive as nightly email reminders by signing up for our mailing list, are taken from Rabbi Yael Levy's Omer guide, Journey through the Wilderness, which is available as a whole in print or as an ebook.

The daily teachings begin Tuesday March 31 and continue to Shavuot, May 19. A Way In also invites you to join us for our annual retreat in the high desert of New Mexico for the last days of the Counting.

The practice as well as Rabbi Yael were featured in a 2015 New York Times article.
