It Happens, Because
Dear Friends,
As the season gently turns us toward the New Year, the Torah calls:
Because.
Deut. 7:12
Because everything comes on the heels of everything else,
Because every action has consequences,
Because we are not the source,
Because we are not the center,
Because we are here together with all life,
Participants in the Infinite Unfolding:
Enter into a covenant of Chesed, expansive, generous love.
Deut. 7:12
Do not let arrogance take root in your heart,
Do not let yourself justify hatred and destruction.
And practice:
Practice seeking nourishment.
Practice saying I have enough.
Practice offering blessings for the gifts received.
Deut. 8:10
Practice:
Living with wonder and awe,
Walking in paths of truth and justice,
Loving as best you can,
And being of service with all your heart and soul
For the benefit of all life.
Deut. 10:12
May our practices help us be strong and courageous
because the world needs our determination and love.
Blessings and love to all.
Shalom,
Rabbi Yael
