Where Does the Time Go?

As the Israelites continue to build the Mishkan,

The sacred dwelling for the Divine,

The Infinite Presence calls,

Stop, pause, rest,

No matter what you are doing,

No matter how sacred or urgent the task,

Stop, pause, rest.

This is a matter of life and death

For you and all beings.

Days become years, decades pass.

Notice that time is sacred.

Pause to be grateful,

Pause to be amazed,

Pause to notice the precious moments

As years go by.

Pause so discernment can rise

And decisions can be made with thoughtful care.

Stop and rest,

So you can realign yourself with me, the Infinite calls,

And remember that we are partners in the unfolding of creation.

Stop so you can touch into the essence of your gifts

And offer them for the good of all

Stop, pause, rest,

Rejuvenate, replenish,

Because you are needed

To help reveal the sacred potential

In this broken and beautiful world.
