The Long View

Let us bow into Tiferet and the call
to be nourished by beauty,
present to truth
and guided by rachamim,
infinite compassion intent on life.

From here we turn toward the week of Netzach,
which brings endurance, determination, vision, eternity.
Lift your eyes to the expanse, Netzach calls,
take the longest possible view,
then look further.

We are here in this moment
because of the circumstances and choices
of our great, great, great, great, great grandparents.

And every choice we make,
all of our decisions and actions
are right now
creating the world
for all those who will come after.

Everything we do matters, Netzach calls,
Act for tzedek v’chesed,
for justice and love.

Even as fear and doubts arise,
even as we don’t see the results we long for,
act for tzedek v’chesed.

The ancestors are rooting for us,
The generations to come are holding us in their prayers,
Together they whisper through the trees, waters and sky:
         Have faith.
         What you do matters.
         Raise up visions of a world healed and whole
         and walk toward these visions with all your heart and soul.
         We are right here with you,
         in your heart and by your side.
